Beaumont at The United Nations

"...a centre for harmonizing the actions of nations..." UN Charter

The United Nations is a unique international organization of 185 sovereign States. It was founded after the Second World War to maintain international peace and security, develop friendly relations among nations and promote social progress, better living standards and human rights. The Member States are bound together by the principles of the UN Charter, an international treaty that spells out their rights and duties as members of the international community.

The Headquarters of the World Organization is located on an 18-acre site on the East side of Manhattan. It is an international zone belonging to all Member States. The United Nations has its own security force, fire department and postal administration. Visitors from all over the world often like to send postcards back home with United Nations stamps - these stamps can only be mailed from the United Nations.

Beaumont's Owner and Founder was involved in the original construction of the United Nations.
