Dennis, It's been a while since your trip and I must say, when you take an adventure, you leave nothing unturned. I think I know more about a Harley engine than I ever expected, but I'm sure you are using all that experience in making the trike a better ride for next time!! I appreciate you letting me travel with you and look forward to a less ambitious trip next time!! Take Care.....

WOW! A lifetime of memories in just one trip. You are one of the very few people I know that would even consider a cross country solo and then you stuck with it through all those unexpected "adventures". Lots of what those New Yorkers would call, Chutzpah. Makes me want to FLY cross-country to salute your accomplishment and character. Thanks for sharing the ride.......

Thank You for putting up this homepage. If you ever need another webspace for it, tell me about it and let's move it over to http://www.trikers.org

Hope I can do a little US-trip with my own trike next year, too ;o)

Big thanks to Dan for taking the time to put this together! After all the bad things I had to say about NY in my reports, I gotta admit some of the fondest memories are of the time I spent there. I'll surely save the NY biker t-shirts I picked up for special occasions!

Triksie is waiting patiently in the garage, engine still piled all over the place in boxes. The guy on Staten Island (Walt at Supercycles) felt bad about having the engine fall apart after he redid the top end and offered to sell me all the parts I need for the rebuild at cost, which'll save me a few hundred bucks at least. I went over to the shop here in CA and sorta decided she's gonna end up with lots more displacement (88" instead of 74"). It's gonna be a long project getting her back together, particularly since I'm focusing all my energy on getting my retirement plan in place. If I don't get some income flowing soon the credit cards are gonna have to come back out! Good thing they're offering 1.7% interest these days.

In answer to the question of when the next trip will be, I think it should be an annual event! My thoughts so far are that I should take the Canadian route east this time...

I figured I would break the ice with the guest book entry. I just wanted to say Dennis, thanks for sharing your journey with me. I really enjoyed your reports from all over this great country of ours. The picture of the World Trade Center just days before the tragedy was particularly compelling.
Just one question... When is your next trip?
